Liliana Sandoval, MPH

Liliana Sandoval is the Senior Associate Director of Programs Outreach at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Liliana has worked in the public health field for 16 years focusing on issues of poverty, health disparities, and food sovereignty. She joined the SF-Marin Food Bank in 2010 and created an outreach program that increases community access to CalFresh (SNAP) through direct to community education and application assistance, partnership with community based organizations to expand access points for CalFresh assistance, and via collaboration with SF Human Services Agency and various State and Federal advocacy organizations to create a more equitable system for low-income people to obtain nutrition benefits. Liliana has led her team and community partners in San Francisco and Marin counties to help 5,000+ households a year to obtain and maintain an estimated $12M+ annually in benefits or the equivalent of 2.7M meals annually.
