How to check your EBT balance in Virginia

You can check your EBT balance a few different ways:

1. Using the Propel mobile app#1-using-the-propel-mobile-app

The Propel mobile app is one of the easiest ways to check your EBT balance.

In addition to EBT balance checking, the app also makes it easy to:

  • review your EBT card transactions
  • find ways to earn (and save) money

2. Calling the phone number on the back of your card#2-calling-the-phone-number-on-the-back-of-your-card

You can check your balance by phone by calling 1-866-281-2448 and then entering your 16-digit card number. The phone line will then state your current balance.

3. Looking at at your receipt after making a purchase#3-looking-at-at-your-receipt-after-making-a-purchase

After you buy food with your EBT card, the receipt will have your remaining balance on the bottom of the card.
