If your SNAP benefits didn't arrive on time, it may be because your case closed during recertification — often because a form, interview, or piece of verification was missing.
The good news: you may still be eligible to receive benefits and don't need to start over with a new application.
To restore your case quickly:
- Check your state’s online portal for any recent notices. This is usually the fastest way to find out what happened. You'll need your login credentials.
- Call or visit your local SNAP office if you don't have portal access or need more help. Find your local office below.
There is a 30-day window available to restore your case, rather than filing a brand new application. Once you know what's needed, act quickly: the sooner you respond, the sooner your benefits can resume.
