Need to manage your SNAP benefits online?
You can do that using your state’s SNAP portal, a personalized website where you can apply for benefits, submit documents, renew your case, and complete other SNAP tasks.
Use the map below to find your state’s SNAP portal.
What is a SNAP portal?#what-is-a-snap-portal
A SNAP portal is your state’s official online account for managing your SNAP (also called food stamps) benefits. It’s your go-to place to find information about your SNAP case, apply for benefits, and contact your state SNAP agency.
Instead of handling everything through paper forms or phone calls, the portal helps you manage your SNAP case digitally.
What can you do in your state’s SNAP portal?#what-can-you-do-in-your-states-snap-portal
The features available depend on your state, but you can usually use your SNAP portal to:
- Apply for SNAP benefits
- Check the status of your application
- Upload requested documents
- Renew (or recertify) your benefits
- Report changes to your household, income, or address
- Read notices from your SNAP office
- View your case number and information
Your SNAP portal may not always include every SNAP or EBT service. For example, if your EBT card is lost or stolen and you need a replacement, you may need to contact your state's EBT card provider or SNAP office instead of using your SNAP portal.
If you can’t complete a task through the SNAP portal, or you prefer another way to receive help, you can:
- Contact your state or county SNAP office
- Call your state’s EBT customer service number
- Visit your local SNAP office
Can I check my EBT balance in my state's SNAP portal?#can-i-check-my-ebt-balance-in-my-states-snap-portal
Yes, most state portals let you check your EBT card balance and see your recent transactions.
But using a mobile app like Propel may be a more convenient way to check your balance without signing in to your state's portal. Propel lets you check your EBT balance, view recent transactions, and track your deposits in one place.

Propel is the #1-rated EBT balance checking app
If your state offers its own EBT app, you can also check your balance and manage your benefits there. Many states use apps like ConnectEBT or ebtEDGE, while others have their own state-specific apps.
