Overall food insecurity fell in December, but households with November SNAP delays were more than twice as likely to skip meals or rely on outside food support.

Two-thirds of respondents who experienced delayed SNAP benefits said they skipped meals and visited a food pantry, compared to a just quarter of respondents who got their benefits on-time.
